Empowering Teachers for the 21st Century Classroom

Executive Director, Sasha E. Butler, conducted a 2-day professional development workshop for teachers at Collins American International Academy (CAIA) in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. The focus of the training was to equip teachers and school administrators effective skills for the 21st century classroom. The interactive session included activities to help educator develop the global competencies critical for designing curriculum and facilitating learning around the global citizenship education framework.

Ms. Butler will complete the training via the Canvas Learning Management System. CAIA will serve as the training hub for Global Citizenship Education in the region. The six-week blended learning course has been donated to the school and the training is offered to all teacher at no cost.
